The Three Billy Goats retold by Michael Images courtesy of 3-Minute Stories, Publications International During this second-grade lesson, students practiced fluency and voice. Students had the choice of drawing a picture of taking pictures with the iPad to show the beginning, middle, and end of a short story. They then narrated the each slide by reading clips from the story. While reading they were practicing reading the different voices and expressions that each characters would speak.

They were given a rubric to explain the expectations for their life cycle presentation. Students worked in pairs; they collaborated to brainstorm ideas, checked each other's accuracy, and designed the presentation. |
