idea sketch
During this fifth-grade lesson, students created a character trait map for two characters from a book they are reading in class. First, they collected evidence from the text and recorded it. Once they found 4-6 traits for each character, they worked in pairs to create a sketch with the character's name in the middle and traits in bubbles connected to the character name using Idea Sketch. Students repeated the process for the second character, and then presented their findings to the class. The class made a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting characters using the Idea Sketch organizer as a reference. Note- you can use Brainpop Educators to access an online Venn Diagram that can be manipulated, saved, and printed with an iPad. |
During this fourth-grade lesson, students were given five digits. The student used Idea Sketch to create an organizer which displays multiples or factors of those digits respectively. Students then displayed results to the class using AppleTV. Then there was a class discussion to see if all the factors/multiples possible were found.
